Since the company was established, PT. CSI has focused on processing raw materials from coconut. As the company grew over the last few years, we have started to widen our production line to meet the coconut processed market. The high demand for coconut products proves that it has an important value in the food and beverage industry. With extensive experience, our company continues to innovate to bring new and attractive coconut-based products. Below are some of the products we provided.

Coconut Meat – Whitemeat

Coconut meat is the white solid endosperm that is most used for food appliacations. It is based material for other coconut products like coconut oil, flour, milk, dessicated coconut and copra. In mature nut, the is about 12 – 15 millimeters thick.

Coconut Water

Coconut Water is a clear to slightly turbid aquaeos liquid found within the coconut kernel and is technically the liquid endosperm of the coconut. It is udsed as the main raw material for nata de coco, coco vinegar, and lambanog. Coconut water is high in electrolytes and is used as a refreshing drink.

Coconut Shell

Coconut Shell is the hard, dark brown shell that encloses the meat and found beneath the fibrous covering of the coconut fruit. It is composed mainly lignin, pentosan, and cellulose. This coconut friut residue is exploited in small scale industries in the manufacture of handicraft and novelty items. Is is also traditionally used as fuel. Another important application of coconut shell is on enviromental pollution control.

Coconut Shell when subjected to carbonization and activation is transformed to activated carbon. Activated carbon has found applications in solvent recovery., deodorization of human gas containing dioxin, separation of nitrogen from air, waste water treatment, advanced water cleaning treatment, home water cleaners, removal through adsorption of endocrine disruptors. Other novel applications of activated carbon based on its catalytic and adsortive actions are in the electronical industry, air for artificial kidneys and liver, oral detoxoficant, drug delivery, and as electric double layer capacitor in hybrid cars.

Coconut Husk

Coconut Husk is the fibrous mesocarp found between the tough exocarp or the outer covering of the coconut fruit and the hard shell or endocarp which encloses the coconut endosperm. It normally constitutes about 35 percent of the total weight of the mature coconut. Traditionally, coconut husks are left in the field to serve as a mulch or fertilizer and soil conditioner. Commercially, coconut husk is processed into coconut fiber and coir dust.

Coconut fiber has many applications. It ca be converted into handicarft and may be used as the raw material in manufacture of plant liners and bed and in the installation of erosion control nets. Coconut fiber maybe in the form of stitched fibers, twined ropes, bio-logs, mats, rubberized stitched fiber and as coco-nets which are popularly known as geo-textile nets. Coconut coir dust, on the other hand, is extensively used as soil-less medium for horticultural purposes due to its high water retention capacity. It is also used as soil conditioner and bioorganic fertilizer.

Coconut Brownskin / Testa.

Thin brown layer of seed coat immediately covering the meat about 0.22mm thick. Dried coconut brownskin / dried testa also can be serve as the raw material of oil extraction.

Coconut Shell Charcoal

Carbonized Coconut Shell. It is an important product obtained from coconut shell. Coconut Shell charcoal is used widely as domestic and industrial fuel. It is also used by foundries and goldsmiths. Coconut Shell Charcoal is also used to produce activated carbon. Activated Carbon produced from coconut shell has certain specific advantages as the raw material can adsorb certain molecules and because of its density retains good strength and physical properties. ArSta eco Coconut Shell is carbonized by using destructive distillation process which produces a very superior product.

Coconut Shell Charcoal Briquette

Charcoal briquettes made from coconut shell charcoal. Fit for hookah, incense, and BBQ. No chemical, minerals additives, easy to light, burn hotter and last longer. Great material flavor of charcoal in a long lasting, even-burning briquette from less ash than composite briquette, made from natural coconut shell charcoal fines. Burn hotter than avergae briquettes so that hookah retains all its natural flavor.
